Strike 6.... Secret Mission. Everyone is afraid to...well
you'll see. "More room for me!" says Abdul as he
goes on his secret mission.
Abdul
leaves LA and goes to Santa Barbara. He wears his coonskin cap
because he is staying at Fess Parker's resort. Fess Parker
played Davey Crockett and, more importantly, popularized the
coonskin cap. Abdul is calling a truce with the guy who
"kilt' him a b'ar when he was only three". "These
are perilous times and we anti-terrorists must stick together."
noted Abdul. "Besides, he's got the best hotel on the
beach." Next |
Going past the swanky entrance, Abdul
heads directly for the bar. He finds a table with a nice view of
the ocean. Next
From the balcony of his room he has a great view of the pool, the
ocean and the mountains. "So far this mission is going very
well." But what is his Secret Mission? Next
Abdul lounges by the pool and then tries
out a "Pedalina".
How can this be his Secret Mission? Next
After checking out the grounds of the
resort, Abdul decides it's time to head to the beach.
Is his Secret Mission there? Next |
Directly across from the resort is one
of the great beaches of the world. Next
And the bear has it all to himself! Next
He builds a sand castle and watches the
waves. He is in such a good mood that he is even getting along
with his nemesis, The Lizard. But what about his Secret
Mission? Next
Back on his balcony, he allows his
photographer/slave to relax. "Nothing says vacation like
a pair of flip-flops!" observes the bear. "My
Secret Mission is almost complete!" Next
Back at the bar to watch the sunset, the
bear can now reveal his Secret Mission.
It was to find out the answer to a question. Abdul's
discovery is:
"Yes! Life is still
good in America!"
