The bear meets the Christmas Raven in the hotel.
"Hello. I am Abdul the Great, Bear-With-Many-Credit-Cards." boasts Abdul.
"Caw. Caw. Get out of here, Bear-With-Maxed-Out-Credit-Cards!"
quoth the Raven, "Come back nevermore!"
Abdul leaves the hotel in a huff. "Damn spiritual know-it-all bird!"

Abdul passes the famous La Fonda hotel. "It's adobe." he notes.

Santa Fe is full of surprises. "Look, an elephant on the roof!" says Abdul. "That's got to mean something."
Then he hangs out at the Museum of Fine Arts. "It's adobe." he notes.

He passes the Loretto Inn. "It's adobe." he sighs.

Abdul enters the Loretto Chapel and sees the miracle staircase. It was built by a mysterious carpenter and has no visible means of support. But where is Abdul?

There he is! Testing out the stairs.

After being escorted out of the chapel, he goes to the Indian Market at the Plaza.
"Gimme, gimme, gimme!" is his spiritual chant.
"No! Go away, Bear-With-No-Cash!" reply the crafty Indian craftsmen.

The bear continues his tour of Santa Fe.
He has to walk because even cute little mountain towns have traffic jams.

The bear is seeking something...

And he finds it! The bar. Strangely enough, it is at his own hotel.
"That's the way quests are. You find what you seek close by!" says the grinning bear.
The bear goes inside and introduces himself as "Bear-Who-Likes-Happy-Water".
But the bear is about to get a surprise....
