Part 4: On to Kyoto - Via the Alps! Abdul takes the long route to Kyoto so he can see more of Japan. Most people take a quick train route from modern Tokyo to ancient Kyoto, but Abdul is NOT most people! He chooses the road less traveled, which means he takes control of the train and goes to Nagano in the Japan Alps before heading down to Kyoto.
In Kyoto, Abdul turns Japanese - at least his
wardrobe does - as he seeks the spirit of Japan. Along the way, he
finds a castle, a colonel, a talking dog and he falls in love with the
high-tech toilets!
