Mysterious Secret Invention Revealed!  (Code names: Ginger, IT, and... Oregano)

In January 2001, news leaked out about a top-secret, revolutionary invention being called "Ginger" or "IT"... But what is IT???  Abdul has decided to reveal all about his new invention.  Although in Abdul's words, the invention is "technically inexplicable", his patent application contains a detailed explanation of the extraordinary invention he calls "Oregano".  A rival inventor, Dean Kamen, also claims to have a similar secret invention which he calls "Ginger".  However, Kamen's patent application is dated one day after Abdul's.
"That guy Kamen heard about my secret project and attempted to steal my idea!  So I'm going to go public. I have a patent application to prove that I was first.  He's doing some stupid scooter.  I'm doing what people really want a mysterious, secret invention to be: A FLYING CAR!" shrieked Abdul the Great, wearing a red turban and calling himself "Swami Abdul".  "I also look more like a mad scientist than he does." added the eccentric bear, "And the code name isn't Ginger, it's Oregano! That guy can't get anything right!".
