Parody Contest Judges' Reviews:
Mike Durrett: About.com's Humor Guide:
My choice for the best of this group would be The Bear Bitch Project. The concept is fresh and unexpected.
The execution shows forethought and original effort. TBBP captures the essence of the
movie in a ludicrous fashion and wraps before wearing out its welcome. Short and sweet, it
made me laugh audibly five times. Thanks, folks, that's the true test and I appreciate it.
Maji
at the Movies:
Even though it's simplicity in design kept it from my top two spot picks, I have to tell
you - on a humor level - this one made me laugh more than any of the others. The sheer
inanity of that bear and that lizard trading graphic barbs had me shaking with the
giggles. Can you please pack up that bear and ship him to me here so I can add him to my
collection? None of my bears are truly famous and I really can't take any of them to the
bar with me. I think this bear knows how to party.
Dr. Freex: The Bad
Movie Report
Though I am not sure what exactly qualifies Abdul the Great as
a Bitch, I shall have to take the Webmasters word for it. A series of digital
photos with dialogue, Bear Bitch exudes a quirky charm as its protagonists - the titular
teddy bear and a stuffed T. Rex named Lizard - travel to the Weed Patch and get lost, even
thought they have a map from Yahoo! Maps. AAAA! Scary rocks! RATING: ****1/2
(4 1/2 out of 5 stars!)
